Salman Khan Pays Tribute To ‘Tiger 3’ Co-Star Varinder Singh Ghuman Following Sudden Death

Superstar Salman Khan expressed profound sorrow over the sudden demise of professional bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman on October 10.

Taking to X, Salman shared a nostalgic picture from the sets of Dabangg, writing, “Rest in peace praa. Vil miss paaji” In the photograph, Salman appears as his iconic character Chulbul Pandey, standing alongside Ghuman.

Varinder Singh Ghuman passed away following a heart attack in Amritsar.

His manager, Yadvinder Singh, reported that Ghuman complained of shoulder pain, and the hospital later confirmed he suffered a cardiac arrest.

His nephew, Amanjyot Singh Ghuman, confirmed the news to reporters in Jalandhar.

Known as India’s vegetarian bodybuilder, Ghuman had won the Mr India title in 2009 and secured second place in the Mr Asia pageant.

He made notable appearances in both Hindi and Punjabi films, including Tiger 3 (2023), Roar: Tigers of Sundarbans (2014), and the Punjabi hit Kabaddi Once Again (2012).

Condolences Pour In

Tributes and condolences poured in from the political and film communities. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu described Ghuman as the pride of Punjab, calling his death an irreparable loss for the nation.

In 2025, Punjab faced devastating floods in July and August. Salman Khan had actively spoken about the issue and encouraged relief efforts. Ghuman had publicly acknowledged Salman’s support at the time, praising the superstar’s efforts through his Being Human foundation for flood relief.

Varinder Singh Ghuman leaves behind a legacy as a pioneering vegetarian bodybuilder and a versatile actor in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. Peers across the industry widely mourn his passing and remember his dedication, talent, and contributions both on and off the screen.

Salman Khan’s heartfelt tribute highlights the bond shared between the two actors. It also serves as a reminder of Ghuman’s impact on the Indian film and bodybuilding communities.
