RRR Star Ram Charan Flies To US Barefoot Ahead Of Oscars 2023, Netizen Says “Never Fails To Win Hearts”

The journey has begun to grab the world’s famous Academy awards, Oscar 2023 home in the Indian tradition, as SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film ‘RRR’ star, Ram Charan has headed to the US the Oscars, which is scheduled to take place on March 12.

His film `RRR` is nominated for Best Original Song for the dance song Naatu Naatu, which won the Golden Globe Award in the same category earlier this year.

Following the Indian tradition and culture, Ram Charan was spotted walking barefoot in his all-black look at Hyderabad airport.

The star is likely to wear either all-black or saffron clothes for the next 41 days.

Reportedly, the actor is observing an annual ritual Ayyappa Deeksha, a Hindu religious practice of 41 days undertaken by the devotees of Swami Ayyappa before visiting the Sabarimala temple in Kerala.

As the biggest award show of all time the Academy Awards is around the corner, the entertainment industry as also cinemagoers around the world are waiting for the grand gala event with bated breath.

All the nominees and actors around the world are flying to the USA to attend the ceremony. However, Director Rajamouli and his family are yet to take off for Los Angeles. Jr. NTR, who is mourning the demise of his cousin Tarka Ratna, will fly to the USA anytime soon.

Earlier, in 2009 India won an Oscar for a film`s music. Composer AR Rahman won ‘best original song’ and ‘best original score’ for the song Jai Ho from the film Slumdog Millionaire (2008), directed by Danny Boyle. After Golden Globe`s win, everyone’s expectations from the RRR movie increased.

Besides RRR, Shaunak Sen`s `All That Breathes` has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film and Guneet Monga`s The Elephant Whisperers for Best Documentary Short.
