He came to become a hero, but became a villain by fate

Everyone in Bollywood dreams of becoming a hero. He too came to the industry to live this dream. But fate made him the biggest villain of Bollywood. It is said that when Amrish Puri was 22 years old, he even auditioned for the role of a hero, but the producer said that his face was very stony. And he cannot become a hero.

He started his career in films at the age of 40

By that age, actors have already done half of their acting career. Amrish Puri entered the industry at that age. He was 39 years old when he was signed for the film Reshma Aur Shera in 1971.

Left government job to enter films

Before his first film, Puri ji was working in a government job in an insurance company. But to enter films, he left his 21-year-old government job. He had risen from being an employee to an A grade officer. But still his passion and love for acting was such that he left the job.

Designed his own dress for Mogambo

This actor will always be remembered for the role of Mogambo played by him in Mr. India. But do you know that he designed his own dress for this role? Yes…the producer-director of the film was not clear about his dress and look in it. But Amrish Puri sat with his personal tailor and got his dress designed and completed his look. The producer of the film, Boney Kapoor, was so pleased with his work that he gave his tailor 10 thousand rupees.

Apart from Hindi, he also made a name for himself in South

He was the villain who worked in Hindi films as well as Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and Hollywood films. Like Hindi films, he is also very popular in South. He worked in more than 400 films during his career.
