Rashmika Mandanna finds comfort in Amitabh Bachchan’s support against deep fake controversy, Says “I Feel Safe and Grateful”

On Monday night, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her gratitude to Amitabh Bachchan, the renowned actor of cinema, for urging legal action against the actress’s widely circulated deepfake video.

Thanking her co-star Amitabh Bachchan for “standing up” for her, Rashmika expressed her fear about the misuse of technology, calling it “extremely scary”. In a message on X (formerly known as Twitter), Rashmika Mandanna stated, “I feel safe in a country with leaders like you. Thank you for standing up for me, sir.” Big B, who had demanded that the video be taken to court, commented on X, saying, “Yes, there is a strong case for legal.”

Rashmika Mandanna stated in a statement that the misuse of technology is “extremely scary” in response to her viral deepfake video that went viral on Monday. “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the fake video of me being spread online,” Ms. Mandanna said in her message. Something like this truly terrifies me, as it does all of us, who are so susceptible to damage in this day and age due to the misuse of technology. I am grateful for my family, friends, and well-wishers today as a woman and an actor since they are my safety net and support network. However, if this had occurred to me in my college or school years.

On Sunday, Rashmika was spotted boarding an elevator in a fake video that went viral online featuring the Pushpa actress. The original video features Zara Patel, a well-known social media figure who is Indian-British.

The roles that Rashmika Mandanna has played in movies like Sarileru Neekevvaru, Geetha Govindam, Dear Comrade, Kirik Party, Chamak, Anjani Putra, Sita Ramam, and Varisu are what made her most famous. After starring in the critically acclaimed 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which also starred Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, she became well-known.

With Goodbye, Rashmika Mandanna made her Bollywood debut last year. She costarred with Sidharth Malhotra in the espionage drama Mission Majnu this year. Her next film appearance alongside Ranbir Kapoor is in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Ani. She plays Allu Arjun’s opposite in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
