Rumours of a wedding between actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram have been confirmed. The couple declared their intention to wed in Imphal, Manipur, this month, with a reception to follow in Mumbai.
“Taking a leaf out of Mahabharata, where Arjun married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, we are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends,” wrote Randeep and Lin in a joint Instagram post on Saturday. We are overjoyed to announce that we will wed in Imphal, Manipur on November 29, 2023, and have a reception in Mumbai afterwards. We ask for your blessings and love for this union of cultures as we set out on this journey, for which we will always be thankful and indebted. Lin and Randeep, in light and love.”

The post was captioned “We Have Exciting News (emojis)” by Randeep and Lin. Darshan Kumaar, who costarred with Lin in Mary Kom, and Randeep in Sarbjit, left comments on the post saying, “Heartiest congratulations Lin n Randeep bhai (red heart emojis).” Emojis were also used by actor Aahana Kumra to express her well wishes in the comments.
A report by source earlier this week stated that considering the Mahabharata connection, Randeep and Lin’s wedding will have a mythological theme. “As a reclusive individual, Randeep is averse to the publicity surrounding his wedding. And for that reason, among others, is he heading to Manipur for his marriage. He wants to begin the next chapter of his life in a location where his lady love is, which is another important factor, the report cited a source as saying.
In the 2007 Bollywood film Om Shanti Om, Lin made her screen debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan as Om Kapoor’s (Lin) friend. She has acted in other Bollywood movies, such as Qaidi Band (2017), Axone (2019) as Chanbi, Rangoon (2017) as Mema, Umrika (2015) as Udai’s wife, and Mary Kom (2014) as Bem.

Regarding his professional life, Randeep will feature in the movie Swatantra Veer Savarkar. The project is a biographical picture of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, also referred to as Veer Savarkar, who fought for freedom. Produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Randeep Hooda Films, Legend Studios, and Avak Films, the movie is directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda and Utkarsh Naithani.
