Raj Kundra Responds To ED Raid; Urges Media To Respect Boundaries

Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, issued a public statement addressing the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at his properties.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, Kundra clarified his stance on the investigation. He further appealed to the media to refrain from involving his wife in unrelated matters.

In his statement, Kundra wrote, “To whom it may concern, While the media seems to have a flair for drama, let’s set the record straight: I’m fully complying with the ongoing investigation that has been unfolding for the last four years. As for the claims of ‘associates’, ‘pornography’ and ‘money laundering’, let’s just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth, in the end, justice will prevail.”

“A note to the media: It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries. #ED,” he added.

The ED’s recent searches are part of an investigation into alleged money laundering.

Earlier on 3 October, Kundra received a notice to vacate his Juhu bungalow and Pune farmhouse, which he has challenged in the Mumbai High Court.

The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested the businessman in July 2021 on charges of alleged pornography production and distribution. He later secured bail, and the case is still under investigation.
