Raigarh: Social Media Influencer Leena Nagwanshi Commits Suicide At 22

Raigarh: Ahead of the heart wrenching death of Tunisha Sharma and Vaishali Thakkar, a 22 years-old social media influencer commits suicide. Leena Nagwanshi hanged herself on the terrace of her house in Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh.

Leena committed suicide when her mother stepped out from the house. Returning back home after half an hour, Leena’s mother found her hanging on the terrace. Brought her body down believing she was alive.  Her family members are shocked as to why Leena committed suicide. At present, the police are probing the matter by taking possession of the mobile phone of the deceased. The cause of death will be known only after the investigation.

Police Statement                                   

According to the police, Leena was a second year B.Com student had gone to the terrace to study and used her dupatta to hang herself.

No suicide note was recovered and the body has been sent for post-mortem, said police. Ahead of her suicide, the Chakradhar police in Raigarh is investigating the case.

Leena As Influencer

The deceased was the youngest daughter of the family. She was active on TikTok, Face book and YouTube and has a family of 10,000 followers on Instagram. The young influencer used to make reels and short videos on her social media.

The 22 years-old, Leena had shared her last Instagram post on Christmas, a video in which she could be seen playing with a soft toy and then posing with a newborn dressed as Santa Claus. She also shared content on YouTube through her channel Royal Leena.

Young Artists Commit Suicide In 2022

Leena’s suicide case came just after popular TV actress Tunisha Sharma died by alleged suicide on December 24. Tunisha, who was acting in ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’, was found hanging in the washroom on the set of the serial on Saturday. She was 21.

Moreover, Vaishali Thakkar, who worked in one of the prominent show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Ha, committed suicide on 15 October 2022. As per the investigation, her ex-boyfriend was Rahul Navlani was allegedly accused for her death.
