Leading cinema chains PVR and INOX have announced that they will broadcast the live consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in their theaters. The temple, sprawling over 70 acres, will open to the public after the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol on January 22. In collaboration with news channel Aaj Tak, the theater chains will broadcast the ceremony live in over 160 cinemas across more than 70 cities in India.
According to a statement from the companies, the Ram temple consecration ceremony is a significant cultural milestone in India and is highly anticipated nationwide. Gautam Dutta, Co-CEO of PVR INOX Ltd., expressed excitement about the opportunity to connect devotees with the celebration through a unique cinematic experience. He emphasized the importance of experiencing grand and historic occasions in an equally grand manner.
The live screening of the ceremony is scheduled from 11 am to 1 pm, and audiences can purchase tickets for Rs 100, which includes a beverage and popcorn combo. The cinema chains aim to recreate the atmosphere of the temple with auspicious chants and breathtaking visuals, providing a memorable and immersive experience for patrons.

Several prominent film personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Dhanush, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol, Prabhas, Yash, and Rishab Shetty, have been invited to attend the ceremony.
