An India blockbuster ‘Pushpa’ is set to be released in Russia on 8 December 2022, the makers announced on 28 November 2022.
Pushpa is one of the well made mass movies with tight screenplay, great performances by Allu Arjun, Fahad Fasil, Suneel, Anasuya etc. The movie packs a solid punch for those who love Telugu movies flavor. The songs have become a global sensation and reels were made by people from different countries.
This film will open the fifth edition of the gala on 1 December 2022. According to a press release, the cast and crew of ‘Pushpa’ will also attend the 3 December 2021 screening of the film in St Petersburg at Galeria.
Russia has been quite open to Indian films from the time of Raj Kapoor. Bollywood is part of India-Russia bilateral relations. This bond has strengthened after war with Ukraine. Russians are preferred Indian films than Hollywood movies due to the anti-American climate in Russia. Pushpa is taking the advantage and trying to explore this market.
The Allu Arjun-starrer will also have its Russian language premiere on 1 December and 3 December in Moscow and St. Petersburg, respectively, as part of the Indian Film Festival.
Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, director Sukumar Bandreddi and producer Ravi Sankar will attend the ceremony, to be held at Oceania shopping centre in Moscow.
The official page of “Pushpa” shared the update on social media.
The Indian Film Festival which is closing on 6th December will be held across 24 Russian cities. The six-day event will also showcase other Indian hits like ‘RRR’, ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘Dangal’, ‘War’, and ‘Disco Dancer’, one of the most beloved musical melodrama films in Russia.
The gala is organised by the film company Indian Films along with the Indian National Cultural Centre SITA through the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of India in Russia.
Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, ‘Pushpa -The Rise’, which was released post the Covid lockdown as the year 2021 came to a close, was an unequalified success across all the language markets it was screened in.
