Physics Wallah: Amazon’s new series is based on the life of Alakh Pandey, the EdTech entrepreneur.

Twitter is flooded with posts of Physics Walaa Trailer ever since Amazon Mini TV released its trailer.

Story of a Visionary’s Educational Dream for India 

Actor Sridhar Dubey is playing the character of Alakh Pandey. It’s great to see a biographical series being made on the journey of an educationist who helps future engineers and doctors in the most remote areas access preparation for competitive exams at an affordable price.

Interestingly, series like ‘Kota Factory’ and ‘Aspirants’ have touched a chord with the audience by portraying the life of students spent between their dreams and  their preparation for competitive exams.

The Edtech Guru who has changed the life of many Engineering and Medical student aspirants is an interesting subject to see on screen.

Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of Physics Wallah, EdTech unicorn comes from the same universe. The trailer of Physics Wallah has already created a lot of buzz on Twitter with  positive responses.  The show will be available on Amazon Mini TV  for free from December 15 onwards.

Sneak Peek into the Trailer

The trailer traces the life of Alakh Pandey played by Shreedhar Dubey. The humble educationist goes on a motivational journey to create an institution that makes the learning of physics possible to the lowest common denominator.

He is determined to change the face of education in the country. His struggle as he starts his online educational YouTube channel and the landmark viral video that changes his life.

In the trailer we see Shreedhar greet students in his YouTube video with Alakh Pandey’s signature style “Hello Bachhon”.

The love Physics Wallah, Alakh Pandey enjoys amongst his students is evident from such posts posted on Twitter:

College Dropout to India’s EdTech Guru

Interestingly the Edtech Guru, Pandey himself did not clear the IIT entrance exam and is a college dropout. His skill as a teacher and entrepreneur is what makes him the man he is.

Physics Wallah Cast and Crew

Physics Wallah  is  directed and produced by Abhishek Dhadharia and written by Sameer Mishra. It stars Shreedhar Dubey of Masaan fame  in the lead role inspired by Alakh Pandey. Other members of the cast include Anjana Saxena, Anurag Thakur, Anuraag Arora, Yatindra Bahuguna, Radha Bhatt, and Ishita Gagneja.
