Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, industry icons, are gearing up to collaborate once again. This time, they’re set to produce a compelling cinematic experience. Under the banner of their esteemed production company, Excel Entertainment, the duo will unveil ‘Operation Trident.’
The movie is being crafted in collaboration with Sunshine Digimedia.
Taking to X, Excel Entertainment posted, “Excel Entertainment in collaboration with Sunshine Digimedia presents Operation Trident. The film is based on the #IndianNavy’s daring attack during the #1971IndoPakWar. The saga of the historic triumph will inspire generations to come.”
“The announcement of the project was held at Nausena Bhavan #NewDelhi, in presence of Adm R Hari Kumar #CNS, Ritesh Sidhwani (Producer, Excel Entertainment), Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani (Co-Producers, Excel Entertainment), Abhinav Shukla (Producer, Sunshine Digimedia) Priyanka Belorkar (Co-Producer, Sunshine Digimedia),” the production company added.
Excel Entertainment unveiled the film’s poster and images from the meeting conducted at Nausena Bhawan.
However, the makers have chosen to keep further details regarding the cast and release date under wraps for now

This operation marked a significant offensive by the Indian Navy, resulting in substantial destruction of Pakistani naval assets stationed at Karachi harbor.
The upcoming film aims to showcase this momentous victory in history.
