August 14 marked the beginning of the 14th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Bollywood celebrities gathered under one roof to honour film, from Karan Johar to Rani Mukerji. A post-dinner photo was posted on Instagram by seasoned actress Shabana Azmi, whose movie Ghoomer will have its festival premiere. Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher also appear in Ghoomer. Shabana Azmi, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, and Shweta Bachchan can all be seen in the photo. The seasoned actress shared a picture with the caption, saying she met KJo, Shweta, and Rani right away after arriving. The four of them are all smiling for the camera in the image. The snippet was posted by Shabana Azmi with the comment, “In Melbourne post dinner, which I joined right away! “Enthu cutlet!” FYI: Shweta is in Melbourne to support her brother Abhishek.
Shabana Azmi has also shared a picture with team Ghoomer on Instagram and wrote that Abhishek Bachchan took them out to an Italian restaurant for lunch ahead of the “world premiere of our film”.
“Tonight at 7 PM” is the “world premiere of Ghoomer.” Abhishek tweeted, “Catch us at the Opening Night of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as Ghoomer has its World Premiere tonight at 7 PM!” after dropping a trailer from the sports drama directed by R Balki.
Returning to Ghoomer, in addition to Saiyami Kher, Abhishek Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, the movie also prominently features Angad Bedi, Guneet Sandhu, and Ivanka Das. According to the Ghoomer teaser, Amitabh Bachchan also appears in the film in a cameo capacity. The remarkable accomplishments of Karoly Takacs serve as the central theme of the film. On August 18, it will be released in theatres.
