Actors Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, along with several other celebrities, graced the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 on Tuesday. However, a paparazzi video circulating on Instagram captured a purported moment of tension between the two stars as Kareena seemingly ignored Shahid while passing him on the red carpet.
In the video clip, Shahid Kapoor was spotted standing alongside Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru, sharing laughter and camaraderie while posing for paparazzi. As Kareena Kapoor, Shahid’s ex-girlfriend, walked past them, she reportedly greeted only Raj, seemingly ignoring Shahid. Despite the alleged snub, Shahid maintained a composed demeanor, smiling as Kareena passed by.
Reacting to the viral video, fans expressed mixed sentiments. While some commended Shahid for his graceful response, others perceived the interaction as awkward and indicative of past romantic attachments. Observers noted Shahid’s repeated glances towards Kareena after the encounter, speculating on the dynamics of their relationship.

Shahid Kapoor was recently seen in “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” portraying a character entangled in an unconventional love story with a robot, played by Kriti Sanon. On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor is gearing up for the release of “The Crew” alongside Kriti Sanon, Tabu, and Diljit Dosanjh, slated to hit theaters on March 29. Additionally, she will feature in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again” alongside an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar.
