Kabir Khan Attends Maha Kumbh Mela; Calls It A Spiritual Experience Beyond Religion

Filmmaker Kabir Khan arrived in Prayagraj on Tuesday afternoon to take part in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest spiritual gathering. Expressing his excitement, Kabir shared how the event has attracted people from different backgrounds, promoting unity across communities.

“I am very excited. This happens once in 12 years. I feel fortunate to have come here. I will take a holy dip here too. These things are not about Hindus and Muslims, these are things of our origin, our country, and our civilization. There is no Hindu or Muslim in this; if you believe you are an Indian, then you should feel everything,” Kabir said, stressing that the spiritual event is a shared experience for all.

Maha Kumbh Mela Attracts Millions Of Devotees

The 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela began on January 13, 2025, and will continue until February 26. Pilgrims from across India and beyond visit the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, to take a holy dip. This ritual is believed to absolve sins and grant moksha. The event is expected to attract over 45 crore visitors, marking a historic spiritual gathering.

Actor Anupam Kher also participated in the Mela, taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. He shared his emotional experience on Instagram, describing it as a “symbolic” moment in his life. He wrote, “Life became successful by taking a dip at Ganga in Mahakumbh! For the first time, I chanted mantras at the place where Maa Ganga, Yamuna ji, and Saraswati ji meet! While praying, tears came out of my eyes. Look at the coincidence! The same happened one year ago today on the day of Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya! Hail Sanatan Dharma.”

Other celebrities such as boxer Mary Kom, cricketer Suresh Raina, and actress Bhagyashree have also visited the Maha Kumbh Mela. They joined the thousands of devotees who gathered to experience the religious and spiritual significance of the event.
