New York City’s prestigious Met Gala witnessed a touch of Indian glamour as Isha Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, made a stunning appearance at the event.
Adorning a creation by renowned Indian designer Rahul Mishra, Isha captivated onlookers with her ethereal presence.
Embracing the gala’s theme The Garden of Time, Isha’s ensemble was a fusion of tradition and contemporary elegance.
Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, she adorned a couture sari gown featuring a striking long floral train, meticulously crafted to echo the theme of the evening. Anaita Shroff Adajania, sharing glimpses of Isha’s ensemble on Instagram, highlighted the sustainable aspects of the attire.
The gown incorporated delicate floral, butterfly, and dragonfly motifs from Rahul Mishra’s past collections. It skillfully integrated using various embroidery techniques like Fareesha, Zardozi, Nakshi, and Dabka.
This amalgamation of elements not only added depth to the ensemble but also conveyed a poignant message of hope and renewal for our planet. The craftsmanship of the ensemble extended beyond mere aesthetics.
Hand-embroidered in Rahul Mishra’s ateliers across Indian villages, the gown symbolized more than just fashion. It served as a beacon of support for countless local artisans and weavers.
Complementing her attire was a clutch by Swadesh, showcasing the ancient Indian art forms of Nakashi and Miniature Painting.
Crafted by Jaipur artisan Hari Narain Marotia, the clutch featured an intricate Indian Miniature Painting depicting India’s national bird, the Mayura. It also adds a touch of cultural richness to Isha’s ensemble.
Further enhancing her look were exquisite traditional lotus hand bracelets (Haathpochas), parrot earrings, and a flower choker designed by Viren Bhagat, accentuating Isha’s regal charm.
Isha’s appearance at the Met Gala garnered widespread admiration, with fashion enthusiasts and celebrities alike lauding her impeccable sense of style.
This year marked Isha Ambani’s return to the Met Gala after her debut in 2017.
With each appearance, she continues to captivate hearts with her sartorial choices, cementing her status as a global fashion icon.
