The premiere of the movie Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh was held at PVR Icon, Infinity Mall, Mumbai on 21st January. The special screening was attended by many celebrities including Rekha, Poonam Dhillon, Mahima Chaudhary, Director R Balki, Govinda’s son Yashwardhan, and Music director Anu Malik. The cast and crew of the movie were also present including director Rajkumar Santoshi, producer’s wife Manila Santoshi, and Deepak Antani who plays the role of Gandhi in the movie.
The movie Gandhi Godse – Ek Yudh is based on the life of Nathuram Godse, the man who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. It chronicles his life and examines the motives behind his actions. The movie also features an ensemble cast of actors playing pivotal characters in Godse’s life. The director Rajkumar Santoshi said that this movie was his attempt to portray the life of Godse from his perspective and to show how one man’s choices could have such a significant impact on the course of history.
