Gadar 2’s production staff, according to filmmaker Anil Sharma, thought that other performers might have performed the hammer sequence and even looked excellent in it. Anil stated in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama that the team is confident that no one could have appeared in the scenario as well as Sunny Deol did. Anil was chatting outside the premiere of his upcoming movie’s trailer.
Anil described how he was discussing the hammer scene with a group of 10–15 members of his crew while sitting in on the much-discussed scene. “I asked them, ‘How would it look if huge actors from Bollywood or the South had done this?’ Jo Bollywood aur South ke bade bade hero hai, woh yeh scene karte toh kaise lagta. “They would have looked fine, but no one could have looked like Sunny sir does,” they all agreed. “Jaise Sunny sir lag rahe hai, woh log karte toh bhi accha lagta.”
Anil also revealed Sunny’s initial thoughts on Gadar 2. Sunny reportedly said, “Gadar itni badi hit hai. Gadar has been a big success and leaves behind its own legacy, so to speak. ” Kyunki poora Hindustan chahta hai ki Gadar 2 banein,” I retorted. We should pay attention to the public since everyone in the nation wants Gadar 2 to be produced. He then consented to a narration. Unki aankhon mein nanha sa ek aansoo aaya (He had a tiny tear in his eye) when he heard the narrative. That was how the journey started, the director continued.
Sunny, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma all appear together in Gadar 2 in their respective roles as Sakeena and Jeete. In his role as Tara Singh from the original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha movie, Sunny also makes a return. In the film, veteran actor Nana Patekar provides his voice.
