The makers of the upcoming film Param Sundari released the first look on Thursday, calling it the ‘biggest love story of the year’.
Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, the film brings together North Indian charm and South Indian elegance in a dramatic and emotional romantic tale.
Production house Maddock Films took to Instagram to unveil the first glimpse of the film. The visuals introduced Sidharth as ‘North’s fire’ Param and Janhvi as ‘South’s grace’ Sundari.
The teaser is rich with romance, drama, and scenic beauty.
The caption read, “Where North’s fire meets South’s grace, it calls for the biggest love story of the year! Dinesh Vijan presents Param Sundari, a love story directed by Tushar Jalota, coming to cinemas on 25th July 2025.”
Directed by Dasvi filmmaker Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari is a cross-cultural romance that unfolds in the scenic backwaters of Kerala.
Sidharth plays a North Indian man from Delhi, while Janhvi portrays a South Indian woman.
Their characters come from contrasting worlds, setting the stage for a heartfelt love story filled with laughter, chaos, and unexpected twists.
According to Maddock Films, the movie delivers a rollercoaster of emotions with cultural flavour, blending vibrant visuals and soulful music.
Producer Dinesh Vijan compared the film’s tone to Mani Ratnam’s Saathiya, highlighting its musical depth and emotional resonance.
Vijan revealed that while the movie includes a modern ‘high-tech idea’ reminiscent of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, it also embraces the rooted cultural elements seen in films like Kantara.
He emphasised the uniqueness of Janhvi playing a South Indian and Sidharth portraying a spirited Delhi boy, noting the exciting dynamic between their characters.
The filmmakers have slated Param Sundari for a theatrical release on July 25, 2025. With its star-studded cast, cultural contrasts, and emotional storytelling, they aim to make it a major cinematic event next year.
