Fawad Khan attended Mahira Khan’s wedding festivities

A few weeks ago, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was present at the wedding celebrations of Mahira Khan and Salim Karim in Bhurban. Mahira posted a fresh video from the festivities on Friday; it appears to be from a pre-wedding sangeet or musical evening. Mahira was grooving to the great Pakistani singer Abida Parveen live on stage with her now-husband Salim. He kissed her hand as well. But the glimpse of Fawad at the event was what got social media users’ curious eyes twitching.

In the video, Mahira can be seen enjoying Abida Parveen’s performance alongside Salim Karim, their families, and friends while sporting an embroidered lehenga. However, it was Fawad Khan whose appearance stole the show.

The actor from Pakistan, who has acted in Bollywood films like Kapoor and Sons (2016) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), wore a brown shawl with a white kurta set and sat in the audience with other guests while Abida Parveen performed Tu Jhoom.

Mahira and Salim headed for the outdoor location, which was festooned with hundreds of candles. The attendees applauded and welcomed the couple as they strolled hand in hand. For a moment, Fawad was visible, looking up at Salim and Mahira as they entered. In the video, Fawad made a second appearance among other visitors as they took in Abida’s performance.

“Anyone who knows me… knows… Abida Parveen.. all my love, all my respect,” Mahira wrote in a message sharing the video. Thank You, Allah. Shrug. Sabr. Shukr (patience and thankfulness).” “No way Fawad Khan was there!” was a comment left by a fan on her video. A further person wrote, “I see only Fawad Khan.” Someone another said, “I just noticed Fawad Khan in the most beautiful pose ever, and I have melted like how.”

Together, Fawad and Mahira featured in the highest-grossing Pakistani movie ever, The Legend of Maula Jatt. They will be seen in Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, the first original Pakistan-themed Netflix series.
Mahira had already posted pictures and videos from her mehendi and haldi ceremony. On October 1, Mahira wed businessman Salim Karim in a private ceremony. Ali Askari was her former spouse. 2015 saw the couple’s breakup. Azlan is Mahira’s son from her first marriage.
