Dulquer Salmaan Calls Meeting PM Modi An ‘Absolute Privilege’ After Mammootty’s Padma Bhushan

Actor Dulquer Salmaan has described meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an ‘absolute privilege’ after attending the Padma Awards ceremony, where his father, veteran actor Mammootty, was honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema.

Sharing photographs from the event on social media, Dulquer posted images featuring himself, Mammootty and other family members alongside Prime Minister Modi.

Dulquer thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the opportunity to meet him and celebrate Mammootty’s Padma Bhushan honour. He described witnessing his father’s recognition as an unforgettable moment for the family.

The Padma Awards ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan honoured several eminent personalities, including Mammootty, R Madhavan and Alka Yagnik.

In the second phase of the awards, 65 recipients received honours, including two Padma Vibhushan, seven Padma Bhushan and 56 Padma Shri awards.

Mammootty’s Padma Bhushan marks another milestone in a career spanning more than four decades.

Widely regarded as one of Indian cinema’s most accomplished actors, Mammootty has delivered memorable performances across numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, earning admiration from audiences across the country.

Dulquer Salmaan, meanwhile, continues to enjoy a successful career across multiple film industries.

Having made his acting debut with Second Show in 2012, Dulquer Salmaan rose to prominence with films such as Bangalore Days, Charlie, Kurup, Mahanati, Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar. He has also established a presence in Hindi cinema through films including Karwaan, The Zoya Factor and Chup: Revenge of the Artist.
