Drishyam 3: Hindi Franchise To Conclude, Malayalam May Continue

The Hindi Drishyam franchise will come to an end with ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’, director Abhishek Pathak has confirmed.

Starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the film will release in theatres on October 2, 2026.

Pathak has ruled out a fourth Hindi instalment and said the filmmakers want to give Vijay’s story a proper conclusion rather than stretch the franchise further.

The third Hindi film will take a major creative departure from the earlier adaptations.

Unlike Drishyam (2015) and Drishyam 2 (2022), which closely followed the Malayalam originals, ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ follows a completely different story and screenplay.

Pathak has described the film as an original family thriller that takes its own narrative route.

Ajay Devgn will reprise Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor return to the franchise.

Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj join the cast in new roles.

The story continues after the events of Drishyam 2 and introduces a fresh challenge for Vijay and his family.

The Malayalam franchise has already taken a separate path.

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3, directed by Jeethu Joseph, was released earlier in 2026 and follows a different storyline from the Hindi film.

Pathak has said the Malayalam makers may continue the franchise if they develop a compelling story, meaning the two versions can now evolve independently.

For Hindi audiences, however, Drishyam: The Conclusion marks the final chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey.
