Bharti Singh Opens Up About Painful Childhood On Super Dancer 5

Stand-up comedian Bharti Singh has revealed why she struggles to think about her childhood, admitting it was filled with hardships that still affect her deeply.

In the upcoming episode of Super Dancer Chapter 5, contestant Apsara Boro’s performance moved Bharti to tears as it reminded her of her own early struggles.

Just as Apsara looks after her sister, Bharti shared that her elder sister once played the same role in her life.

A promo released by the channel shows Bharti walking off stage in tears after the act, saying, “Mujhe jis chiz se nafrat hai, vohi dikha diya (The one thing I hate is exactly what you showed me).”

Explaining the remark, she told IANS, “I feel very bad and I hate when I think of my childhood as I had faced a lot of issues.”

Bharti recalled that she never enjoyed festivals as a child because her family lacked the means to celebrate them like other children.

“I used to not like festivals as we did not have anything to celebrate like other children,” she asserted.

Now, she makes it a point to support domestic workers.

“So now I always stand for all the house help, drivers, etc, they take care of us, leaving their kids behind,” Bharti noted.

In the episode, Bharti also gifted new clothes to contestant Apsara after learning that she often watched other children wear new outfits without having any herself.

The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLiv.
