Anusha Dandekar Undergoes Surgery For Lumps, Says “I’m Recovering Well”

Anusha Dandekar, a VJ-turned-actor, opened up on Tuesday about undergoing surgery to remove a lump from her ovary and suggested that women should consult a gynecologist once a year “without fail” to stay on top of their health and safety.

Anusha wrote a lengthy Instagram post in which she noted that although her recovery has been difficult  she is grateful that “everything was okay.”

Many of her celebrities including TV actress Jennifer Winget and Rhea Chakraborty wished her a speedy recovery.

“Went through surgery for a lump in my ovary, the recovery has been pretty intense but also I’m really lucky all was okay… found a few more lumps while they were there, again super lucky everything Is great now,” she wrote.

“Just wanted to tell all the girls that are here reading this, to make sure you visit your Gynaecologist once a year without fail to stay ahead of your health and safety, I’ve been doing that since I was 17 and that’s how I can be so grateful I’m recovering well today,” the 41-year-old added.

Anusha Dandekar, who has presented programs like “MTV Dance Crew,” “MTV Teen Diva,” and “India’s Next Top Model,” expressed gratitude to her supporters and praised her doctor and the crew for making her feel “safe and comfortable.”

I still have a few weeks until I’m fully recovered but walking outside today felt so nice! Beyond grateful, the diva  continued.
