Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has once again offered his fans a glimpse into his introspective side.
In a recent blog post, the legendary actor delved into themes of learning, values, time, and self-discipline—blending personal reflection with philosophical depth.
Bachchan began his post by emphasizing the importance of continual learning.
“Each learning is a day lived,” he wrote, acknowledging that lessons come from all generations—from the young to the old.
He highlighted that the value of these learnings is not always material but rather rooted in life experiences and ethical beliefs.
Transitioning into cultural philosophy, Bachchan reflected on sanskaar—a term rooted in Indian tradition referring to values, manners, and ethics passed down through generations.
“The sanskaar that we and our ancestors inculcated and taught us by their approach, behaviour, and guidance… lives an eternal life,” he wrote.
According to him, these ingrained values guide how individuals navigate life, decisions, and interactions.
He described sanskaar as “a refinement, an adorning… the conduct of the ‘how’, ‘when’, and ‘where’,” underscoring its timeless relevance not only to humans but to all existence, including the cosmos.
Bachchan also explored the paradoxical nature of time.
He pointed out how people tend to accomplish more when time is scarce yet delay tasks indefinitely when they believe they have plenty of time.
“Aah, we have tomorrow, so shall do it in the morrow… and the morrow never comes,” he observed.

He admitted to struggling with this mindset himself, referring to it as ‘a victim of time on hand’. However, he stressed the importance of overcoming this inertia.
“Will shall be the strength. And that is the strength I work upon,” he affirmed.
In a related blog entry posted on April 15, the actor addressed the distractions of the digital age. He candidly referred to one of his daily habits, looking up information online, as ‘one of the most worthless activities’, attributing the sentiment to the countless distractions that accompany internet browsing.
Through his musings, Bachchan offered not just a reflection of his personal experiences but also timeless advice rooted in cultural values and self-awareness.
His reflections resonate with fans who admire not only his cinematic legacy but also his thoughtful perspectives on life.
