After Elon Musk’s Twitter removed “Blue Ticks” from the verified accounts of famous people, Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first celebrities to react. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli, and other famous people lost their Twitter blue ticks on Friday. Presently, Big B has taken to Twitter to request his blue tick back as he has proactively paid for something very similar.
Amitabh Bachchan requested that his blue tick be restored and stated in a humorous tweet that he had paid the subscription fees to Twitter Blue. He posted the tweet in Awadhi (language local to Prayagraj and regions around it), requesting that Twitter “pay attention to him”. After Twitter removed the verified check from accounts that did not pay for its monthly subscription service, Mr. Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and a number of other Bollywood celebrities lost it. According to Elon Musk, the chief executive of Twitter, the removal began on Thursday.
Hey Twitter! Are you listening? I have paid for the subscription service… so please put back the blue lotus in front of my name, so that people know that I am Amitabh Bachchan. I am making the request with folded hands… now should I fall in your feet?” Mr Bachchan said in his tweet.
