In a grand ceremony held in New Delhi, notable Indian actors Waheeda Rehman, Alia Bhatt, and Kriti Sanon made quite an impression as they received their prestigious National Awards. What made the event even more captivating was the striking similarity in their choice of attire – all three donned exquisite cream sarees. However, it was Alia Bhatt’s outfit that stole the limelight.
Alia Bhatt, who won the Best Actress award, shared the honor with Kriti Sanon. Her attire for the occasion was nothing short of special. She opted to wear her wedding saree, which she had previously worn on her wedding day, April 14, 2022. The saree, a Sabyasachi creation, featured delicate gold embroidery on an off-white base with scalloped edges. This choice not only held sentimental value but also added a unique touch to the ceremony.
Accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor, who looked dashing in black attire, Alia made a stunning entrance at the event. The couple was seen leaving Mumbai on Tuesday morning, heading to the ceremony in New Delhi.
Kriti Sanon, the co-recipient of the Best Actress award, also made a statement with her attire. She paired her cream and gold saree with flowers adorning her hair, further enhancing her graceful appearance. The two talented actresses received their awards for their outstanding performances in the films “Gangubai Kathiawadi” and “Mimi.”
Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman, honored with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, displayed her timeless elegance in a cream and gold saree, in line with the theme of the evening.
The event celebrated not only the brilliance of these actresses but also recognized other notable recipients of National Awards. Best Actor Allu Arjun, RRR director SS Rajamouli, and R Madhavan, the director of the Best Feature Film winner “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” were among those who received their well-deserved awards.
