After several days of anticipation, Prabhas’ supporters will hear some happy news. The actor will appear in Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming major film, Kannappa, the director stated earlier today. According to reports, Prabhas would play Lord Shiv in the historical drama. Although he did not specifically address Prabhas’ character, his comment “Har Har Mahadev” has led some fans to speculate that the actor may portray Lord Shiva. The actor’s previous performance as Lord Ram in Adipurush sadly did not strike a strong chord with the audience.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared a picture of Prabhas and Manchu on X (previously Twitter) and talked about their collaboration on Kannappa. The director replied to him with “Har Har Mahadev #Kannappa” and heart emoticons.
The movie will soon begin production. The crew recently organized a puja ceremony for Kannappa. The script for the Mukesh Singh-directed movie was written by Thota Prasad, Burra Sai Madhav, and Paruchuri Gopalakrishna. Nupur Sanon, the sister of Kriti Sanon, will appear in it. The epic drama’s music was composed by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devasi, and it was produced by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory.

Prabhas’ next movie, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, will be out before Kannapa. Its September release date has been postponed; it also stars Shruti Hassan. According to a recent post by film industry analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie will now be released in November. The revised release date hasn’t yet been disclosed by the creators, though.
He wrote on X, “#BreakingNews… PRABHAS: ‘SALAAR’ TO ARRIVE IN NOV… #Salaar is NOT arriving on 28 Sept 2023, it’s OFFICIAL now… The post-production work of this #Prabhas starrer is going on in full swing… #HombaleFilms – the producers – are bringing the film in Nov 2023… New release date soon.”
