After Deepika Padukone was harassed, Twinkle Khanna stands up for her, saying that she didn’t fall for her first suitor

Twinkle Khanna, an actor who is now a novelist, has shown support for Deepika Padukone in response to online criticism. Twinkle wrote that Deepika received backlash for not “falling at the feet of the first moustached suitor hanging around her” in her Times of India column. Twinkle went on to say that Deepika Padukone was the target of “baffling” abuse “because of her admission.”

Twinkle’s remarks regarding Deepika

Twinkle stated, “When Deepika revealed that, in contrast to her reel self, she did not swoon and fall at the feet of the first moustached suitor hanging around her, she managed to outrage uncles, aunties, and a whole lot of India’s not-so-eligible bachelors on Koffee with Karan.” Rather, she had dated other guys in addition to her eventual spouse. It’s mind-boggling how much trolling she’s received for her admission. It has apparently even gone so far as Banaras Hindu University students staging a play in which a female student portrays Deepika and male students represent her former boyfriends.”

“Her methodical approach to selecting a compatible spouse, however, is fairly sensible. If you were looking to purchase a couch, wouldn’t you visit the store to see which models are comfy, which have bouncing backrests, and which fabrics don’t irritate your skin? However, you’re expected to choose one without considering your options when it comes to your couch potato partner,” she continued. Deepika’s “idea of making an informed choice may save a lot of women from marrying dogs, or more commonly, frogs in princely robes,” according to Twinkle as well.

Deepika’s remarks about KWK

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone discussed their marriage and friendship on Koffee With Karan 8. “I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships,” Deepika had previously stated. I was going through a time where I was saying to myself, “I just don’t want to be committed or attached.” I also had fun! I didn’t commit until he proposed to me, and then he came along. No “commitment as such” existed. We would simply keep going back to one other, even if we were legally permitted to see other people.

Deepika enquired about Ranveer Singh’s suitors later in the show. “Abhi toh tumne bola I was seeing other people but I would go back to him,” a visibly irritated Ranveer stated. “Just a few minutes ago, you mentioned that you were seeing other people, but now you can’t remember,” is I right? “I don’t recall the individuals,” Deepika answered. With a firm voice, Ranveer remarked, “I remember very clearly.”
