Through their social media accounts, a number of Bollywood actors, including Dharmendra and Sonu Sood, vented their rage at the violence in Gurugram and the NCR. Sonu Sood posted a couplet that discussed the true costs of the violence, and Dharmendra tweeted about the incident and begged God’s pardon.

Dharmendra penned the following in one of the tweets: ‘Ye qahar…. kiyon….kis liye ? Bakhsh de Maalik …ab ….. to bakhsh de….. ab bardaasht nahin hota’.
He said, “Apne watan mein Teri duniyan mein mujhe aman skoon bhaichara chahiye,” in another tweet.

Sonu Sood also posted a couplet on his twitter account discussing the actual harm that the violence has done.
“No one’s home is burning, no one’s shop is on fire,” roughly translates from the phrase. Man is watching as just mankind is set ablaze.
In Nuh, Haryana, mobs attempted to obstruct a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) procession. There were four fatalities, including two home guards, and numerous injuries as a result.
