“PM Modi is a ‘Messiah’ of the Poor in India:” Rajnath Singh in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Addressing an election rally in Rairakhole under the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a ‘messiah’ of the poor in India. Defense Minister on Sunday claimed that as many as 25 crore people came out of the poverty line under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

Lashing out at Congress for not eradicating poverty, Singh said, “Beginning from Jawahar Lal Nehru to Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and Manmohan Singh, all have failed to eradicate poverty from the country. However, Modi is the first prime minister who could reduce the miseries of the poor people in this country.”

The Defence Minister lauded the work Prime Minister saying that Modi has provided pucca ghar, piped water to households, free of-cost cooking gas, free foodgrains, toilets, and many other things to the poor people during the last 10 years.

While appealing to the people to vote for the BJP by pressing the button against the lotus symbol, Rajnath Asked whether Modi’s welfare schemes reaching the people of Odisha.

The Senior BJP leader came down heavily on the State’s BJD government for not implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme that provides free health services to the people.

The Defense Minister also raised the issue of Ratna Bhandar and blamed Odisha’s BJP government for missing Keys. He ensured people of opening Lord Jagannath’s Ratna Bhandar in Puri temple as soon as the party comes to power in the State.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached Sambalpur to canvass the vote for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from the Sambalpur constituency.

The Lok Sabha election in the Sambalpur constituency is scheduled to take place in the sixth phase of the polls on May 25.
