International immigration racket busted with arrest of linchpin

The so far absconding master of international immigration racket involved in duping people on the pretext of sending them to foreign shores, has been arrested.

With the arrest of absconding mastermind agent Manjeet alias Babbu (Jalandhar) was done by the IGI Airport team. The team succeeded in arresting all the agents of the international immigration racket involved in cheating case registered at Police Station IGI Airport, Delhi.

The above-mentioned case was registered on the complaint of Gurnoor Singh in which he had alleged that the accused person namely Amit Gaur contacted him through social media to give references of the clients for the tourist visa and study visa of Australia. He induced the complainant on the pretext of his connections with agents operating in India and abroad.

Based on the inducement, complainant referred 5 students from his IELTS training institute to the accused persons for Australian tourist visa. Allegedly a sum of INR 18 Lakh was given to the accused person and his associates to process their visa. The accused persons provided 5 tourist visas issued in the name of the students. Later when the said VISAS were verified from the embassy, it was found that all the visas provided by the accused person were fake. The the present case was registered by the victims.

In view of large-scale scam running worldwide duping people on the pretext of sending them to foreign shores and to burst the nexus a team was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Yashpal Singh with the overall supervision of ACP/IGIA Virender Mor. After sustained efforts, accused Amit Gaur was apprehended on 11.09.2022. During interrogation, he disclosed that he came in contact with agents namely Nitin, Manjeet, and Vijay through a commission agent namely Chandrika Prasad alias Chandan from Delhi in 2017.

These agents specialized in making fake VISAs and other travelling documents and were operating an entire office wherein they made fabricated travel documents. It was found that the agent Nitin Nazara and Vijay Kumar were operating along with the main mastermind of the syndicate Manjeet alias Babbu and they gradually specialized in making fabricated travel documents of all the countries. It was also learnt that they were operating across India and were constantly providing fabricated documents to the agents operating in Punjab and Haryana.

During the course of investigation, due to diligent efforts of the team, all the agents i.e Vijay Kumar, Nitin Nazra and Chandan Chaudhary were arrested on the respective dates mentioned above. Further, a huge recovery of Passports, forged and blank VISAS of different countries along with forged visa stamps, printing and laminating machines, PR cards of different countries, bank Plastic cards used for making fabricated Adhaar Cards, PR Cards and DL with engraved chips and other incriminating material were recovered from their possession.

From the custodial interrogation of the arrested agent it was ascertained that agent Manjeet alias Babbu was the master mind of the entire nexus spread across the country. With the arrest of the nexus members agent Manjeet Singh alias Babbu fled away from his residence and was trying to evade his arrest for long time.

Continuous raids were conducted at all the possible hideouts and the team zeroed on the movement of the accused in Punjab. The relentless efforts of the team yielded result, when the team intercepted the agent on three days ago in Punjab. The accused is presently on Police remand till coming Friday.
