Uber today has updated its Android and iOS apps with a new UI and personalization features. Starting right at the redesigned home screen, the new Uber app makes it way easier to book rides, taking into account the most preferred destinations and products for each rider.
Nitish Bhushan, Director of Central Operations, Uber India and South Asia said, “We have always worked to provide mobility with few taps on the app for riders on the Uber platform. Seeing how fast-paced our lives are getting, we understand the need to be able to navigate through apps in seconds. We are introducing the redesigned Uber app to help our users more effortlessly navigate to ensure each rider sees an app designed for their specific needs, with their frequented routes and preferred products showing right at the top”.
Now, the app can understand user behavior as it will suggest an auto for the user who has the propensity to ride in an Uber auto and will also show various affordable options.
The new ride progress feature provides ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) trip status, vehicle details, and more background information. Currently, this feature is limited to iOS devices. The app is also compatible with the Dynamic Island of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro.
The ride-hailing platform now supports the user’s favorite services like ride type and locations for the quick cab booking process and the app can now show saved locations when a user clicks on the ‘Where to go’ option on the home screen.
Uber allows users to access all the features offered by Uber in one place. This includes nearby Moto to Auto, Intercity, Rental, Reserve, and Connect features.
