Two Adani Airports Named Among World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026

Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has earned global acclaim after two of its landmark airport developments secured places among the prestigious ‘World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026’ list announced by the Prix Versailles architecture and design awards.

The recognition honours Navi Mumbai International Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati.

The achievement places both facilities among seven distinguished aviation projects selected worldwide for architectural brilliance, sustainability and passenger-focused innovation.

Presented annually at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the Prix Versailles awards celebrate contemporary structures that successfully blend design excellence, cultural identity and environmental responsibility.

Navi Mumbai International Airport received recognition for its striking lotus-inspired architecture and futuristic aesthetic.

The terminal combines advanced technology, artistic elements and operational efficiency to deliver a premium travel experience while symbolising India’s emergence as a major global economic force.

Guwahati Airport’s new Terminal 2 also gained international appreciation for drawing inspiration from the ecological and cultural heritage of Northeast India.

Designed around the concept of the ‘Bamboo Orchid’, the terminal incorporates biophilic architecture that highlights regional biodiversity while maintaining sustainability and functionality.

The two Indian projects joined an elite international list featuring airports in Guangzhou, Frankfurt am Main, Kandal Stueng, Pittsburgh and San Diego.

AAHL stated that the honour reflects its commitment to developing world-class airport infrastructure that seamlessly integrates design excellence, sustainability and operational performance.

The company added that airports serve as vital links connecting people, regions and economic opportunities.

The recognition further reinforces Adani Airports’ vision of creating globally competitive aviation infrastructure while showcasing India’s growing expertise in design and engineering.
