Tech Mahindra, a prominent name in the IT and business process outsourcing sector, unveiled a strategic collaboration with Fuji Television Network, Japan’s premier broadcaster, on Thursday.
The joint venture aims to co-develop and produce diverse content across genres for the worldwide entertainment industry.
In a move set to catalyze growth in burgeoning content markets, particularly in India where niche genres like Anime and Korean dramas are gaining ground, the partnership will amalgamate Fuji TV’s original content with Tech Mahindra’s localization and animation services.
Harshvendra Soin, President, APAC & Japan Business at Tech Mahindra, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential impact.
“We have partnered with Fuji TV to bring their content library in various local languages to Indian audiences. This also marks a significant milestone in Tech Mahindra’s growth strategy and strengthens our position in the media and entertainment industry,” he stated.
Furthermore, Tech Mahindra will extend support to Fuji TV in licensing Indian content IP and harness its animation expertise to craft fresh, engaging Japanese content tailored for global audiences.
Toru Ota, Executive VP at Fuji Television Network, highlighted their global expansion aspirations and emphasized the collaborative exploration of content strategies attuned to the Indian market.
“As part of our initiative to expand into the global content market, we intend to collaboratively explore content strategies that are tailored to the Indian market, leveraging Tech Mahindra’s extensive marketing expertise within the region,” he remarked.
