Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, has sold his ancestral house to actor and producer C Manikandan.
Mr. Manikandan’s first home would be located in Ashok Nagar, a residential suburb of Chennai.
Mr. Manikandan was seeking a new house, and when he learned that a house where Sundar Pichai was born and reared was for sale, he jumped at the chance.
Mr. Manikandan said, “Sundar Pichai has made our country proud, and buying the house where he lived will be a proud achievement of my life”.
Mr. Manikandan stated that Google CEO’s parents’ humility astounded him.
“Sundar’s mother made a filtered coffee for me, and his father handed me the documents right away. I was captivated by their humility and humble approach”, Mr. Manikandan continued.
Mr. Manikandan further said, “In fact, his father waited for hours at the registration office and paid all necessary taxes before handing over the documents to me”.
“Sundar’s father broke down for a few minutes while handing over the documents because this was his first property”, Mr. Manikandan remarked.
Sundar Pichai was born in Chennai, but he moved away in 1989 to pursue metallurgical engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
According to his neighbor, he lived in this house till he was 20 years old.
