Stock market closed: The markets closed with a decline on the last trading day of the week. Nifty closed down 92 points at 17,944, Nifty Bank closed down 500 points at 41,132 and Sensex closed down 317 points at 61,003. The pressure was seen in midcap, and smallcap stocks. There was a decline in realty, banking, and IT stocks. Selling was seen in Pharma, and Metal stocks. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 33 closed in red and 17 in green. 12 out of 12 shares of Nifty Bank closed in red mark. There was buying in 7 out of 30 Sensex stocks.
