Stock market closed: On the last day of the week, the market closed in the red mark with a heavy fall.

Stock market closed: The Indian market started with a decline amid mixed global signals. Today, there were huge ups and downs in the market throughout the day. Nifty closed down 226 points at 17,892, Nifty Bank down 1086 points at 41,648 and Sensex closed down 774 points at 60.205. In the Nifty 50, 35 stocks closed in the red and 15 closed in the green. In Nifty Bank 12, 12 stocks were closed in the red mark. All sectoral indices of BSE closed with losses. There was a sharp decline in banking stocks. Midcap, Smallcap index closed under pressure. Realty, energy, and infra stocks declined. The pressure was seen in Pharma, IT, and Metal stocks.
