Stock market closed: On the first trading day of the week, the market closed with gains due to the growth in the banking shares.

Stock market closed: In the first session of the budget week, there were ups and downs in the market. The market started with a decline, but the recovery in banking stocks enabled the market to close with gains. Nifty climbed 45 points to 17,649, Sensex closed at 59,500 with a gain of 170 points and Bank Nifty climbed 42 points to close at 40,387. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 29 closed in the green and 21 in the red. In Nifty Bank 12, 10 stocks closed in green mark and 2 closed in red mark. Buying was seen in 19 Sensex stocks while selling was seen in 11. The pressures are seen in Midcap and Smallcap stocks. Today buying was seen in IT stocks. The pressures are seen in Realty and Infra stocks. Selling was seen in Energy, PSE, and FMCG stocks.
