Stock market closed: The market closed with a fall on the day of the weekly expiry. Nifty Bank closed down 100 points at 41,631. Nifty climbed 20 points to close at 18,036, and Sensex climbed 44 points to close at 61,320. Buying in 12 stocks of Sensex while selling in 18. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 25 closed at the red mark and 25 closed at the green mark. Nifty Bank closed 10 stocks in red and 2 in the green mark. Buying was seen in midcap, and smallcap stocks. Buying was seen in IT, metal, and realty stocks.
