Riding On Young Population, India’s Wealth Will Increase 10 Times: NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan

Addressing a convocation near Ahmedabad NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan Said that in the next 50 years, we can be in the league of rich nations.

In the years to come, India will be able to produce more wealth than other nations thanks to a youthful, skilled population, quick technical advancements, and general economic expansion, according to Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

As per the calculation of NSE CEO India’s wealth will increase 1,000 per cent over the next 50 years, that translate to 10 times.

NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan was addressing a convocation ceremony of ntrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) where he said that the students will be “agents of change” by developing real-life innovations at scale to solve the country’s socio-economic issues.

As per the NSE CEO, the ‘NSE EMERGE’ platform facilitates the connection between small and medium-sized businesses and investors for funding, with over 150 SMEs and startups already listed.

In order to represent the performance of a portfolio of qualified small and medium-sized businesses that are listed on the NSE EMERGE platform, the NIFTY SME EMERGE Index was created.

International Monetary Fund(IMF) ranked India on fourth in terms of GDP among the Group of 7 nations.

On the other hand Moody’s predicts that India’s economy would continue to grow at the quickest rate in the Asia-Pacific region in 2024. The country will maintain the momentum  generated domestically the previous year.

In the fiscal year 2023–24, which concluded on March 31, India’s real GDP increased by 8.2%, maintaining its position as the fastest-growing major economy in the world.
