Over 8,000 Attend Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Organised By Adani Group; More Than 400 Benefit From Medical Camp

A seven-day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, organised by the Adani Group with the sacred objective of ‘Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay’, witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 8,000 devotees attending the discourse and over 400 people benefiting from a medical camp held alongside the event.

The programme commenced with an address by Adani Foundation Chairperson, Dr Priti Adani, who set the tone for the event.

In her opening remarks, she emphasised human development as the highest priority, explaining that development does not merely mean factories or ports, but the true development of human beings.

Addressing the gathering on the second day of the Katha, she acknowledged the steadfast support of the people of Kutch over the last 25 years and stated,

“For the last 25 years, you all have stood by us in every challenge. Today, the Adani Group is doing something for India. India’s name is being praised all over the world, and you all have played a major role in it,” Dr Priti Adani stated.

The second day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha saw a massive turnout, with the dome packed to capacity.

Several revered saints, mahants, and eminent personalities graced the event, including Ai Shri Devlama of Baliyavad Ashram (Junagadh), Shilapiji Sadhvi Maharaj Saheb of Virayatan Vidyapeeth (Mandvi), Ai Shri Kamai Maa of Rajaldham (Nani Khakhar, Kutch), along with other respected saints and sadhvis.

Political and Social Leaders in Attendance

Political and social leaders such as Mundra–Mandvi MLA Shri Aniruddhbhai Dave, Kutch District BJP President Shri Devjibhai Varchand, and noted organ donation activist Dilipdada Deshmukh were also present.

During the programme, Shilapiji Sadhvi Maharaj Saheb of Virayatan Vidyapeeth remarked that there are certain householders who rise even above saints, as wherever they go, they establish the fragrance of service and good deeds.

Ai Shri Devlama recalled the service initiatives undertaken for the differently-abled during the wedding of Jeet Adani and blessed the Adani family.

On this occasion, the Adani family extended special honours to all the present saints, sadhvis, mahants, and distinguished guests.

Representatives from various villages and organisations of Mundra taluka also felicitated Dr Priti Adani, acknowledging the social responsibility initiatives carried out by the Adani Foundation and expressing gratitude for its continued service to society.

Revered Kathakar Pujya Shri Kashyapbhai Joshi recited the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, elaborating on various episodes from the Shrimad Bhagwat Gita. He particularly emphasised that every child should first care for and respect their parents before visiting pilgrimage sites, stating that the growing number of vacant old-age homes is a stigma on society.

He further advised people to keep the company of good individuals, from whom one can learn values and righteousness that lead a person towards spiritual upliftment.
