Maruti Suzuki Boosts Production By 26% In September Amid Strong Market Demand

Maruti Suzuki India announced on Friday that it produced 2,01,915 vehicles in September 2025, a 26% year-on-year increase from 1,59,743 units in September 2024.

The carmaker raised production to meet growing market demand, the company said in an exchange filing.

The company manufactured 12,318 units of Alto and S-Presso last month, slightly higher than 12,155 units a year ago.

Production of compact models like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, and Swift surged to 93,301 units, up from 68,413 units in September 2024.

There was no production of Ciaz last month, compared to 1,687 units of the mid-sized sedan in the same month last year.

Maruti Suzuki increased production of utility vehicles such as Brezza, Ertiga, and Fronx to 79,496 units, up from 62,752 units last year, marking a 27% year-on-year rise.

Production of the Eeco model rose to 13,201 units from 11,702, while Super Carry LCV output increased to 3,599 units from 3,034 units in the same period last year.

Earlier this week, Maruti Suzuki reported a 3% year-on-year increase in total sales, reaching 1,89,665 units in September.

However, the company noted that domestic dispatches to dealers declined 8% year-on-year, totalling 1,32,820 units last month.
