The International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO) on Thursday announced a partnership with Adani International School to advance the international school sports movement in India.
The collaboration aims to elevate the sports education framework in Indian schools to a global standard.
Namrata Adani, promoter of Adani International School, has joined the advisory board of ISSO. She will actively shape the initiative’s vision and long-term goals.
Akanksha Thapak, Director at ISSO, said, “We are delighted to welcome Namrata Adani and the Adani Group. ISSO has created a streamlined pathway for students to progress from grassroots to national and international sports levels.”
She further added, “With Adani’s leadership and vision, this collaboration will strengthen the sports ecosystem. Together, we aim to expand opportunities and inspire thousands of young athletes from international schools.”
Adani International School will support ISSO by expanding sports infrastructure, enhancing player training, and promoting participation in global events.
The school integrates academic excellence with physical education, complementing ISSO’s mission to develop holistic student-athletes.
Namrata Adani said, “We aim to create inclusive, future-ready institutions where students excel both in the classroom and on the playing field. It is an honour to support ISSO in establishing a structured, globally standardised sports culture for international schools in India.”
Established in 2017, ISSO is India’s only dedicated sports body for schools following international curricula, including IB, Cambridge, Edexcel, and the US-based National School Boards Association (NSBA).
