Indus Towers, IOC Phinergy Sign An Agreement For Clean Energy Systems Based On Aluminium-Air Technology

Indus Towers and IOC Phinergy (IOP) have agreed to install 300 zero-emission energy systems to reduce diesel usage at Indus’ telecom tower sites.

According to a press statement, this step accelerates Indus Towers’ progress towards its sustainability priorities.

“Indus Towers Limited and IOC Phinergy Private Limited (IOP) have signed an agreement for deployment of 300 zero-emission energy systems based on aluminium-air technology, to optimize diesel consumption at Indus’ telecom tower sites”, the statement reads.

Prachur Sah, Indus Towers’ CEO, stated as part of the company’s ESG vision, Indus Towers believes in nurturing environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and strong governance.

“Indus Tower’s agreement with IOP is a testimony of the company’s commitment to building eco-friendly telecom tower sites by investing in solutions for resource optimization”, Sah continued.

IOP is an Indian joint venture company founded by IOCL and Phinergy Ltd, Israel to manufacture, sell, and service aluminium-air systems based on Phinergy’s technology.
