India’s largest biogas plant is being constructed in Barsana, Uttar Pradesh

Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), one of the largest City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, is rapidly moving forward to meet the growing aspirations of the country with its expanding network of CGD infrastructure. In line with the energy security and environment protection needs of the country and diversifying into Electric Vehicles (EV) charging, Biogas and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), ATGL is touching the lives of millions of fellow citizens by offering cost-effective, convenient and safe .

ATGL is authorized in 33 geographical areas and plays a key role in the country’s efforts to increase the share of natural gas in its energy mix. Of the 52 GAs, 33 are owned by ATGL and the remaining 19 GAs are owned by Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL), a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Total Gas Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

Efforts are on to accelerate the expansion of its CNG station network as well as its pipeline network to take advantage of the country’s growing need for clean fuel.
Pan India Footprint in 2024 from JV with IOAGPL Due to reduction in CNG prices along with network expansion of CNG stations, CNG volumes have increased by 18% YoY with 11 new CNG Stations were added, taking the total network of CNG stations to 748. Apart from this, a total of 27,917 new houses have been added on PNG and with this the number of houses has now reached 8.72 lakh.

207 new consumers were added to industrial and commercial connections and their number has now reached 8,228. 19,732 inch kilometer steel pipeline was completed.
Apart from this, 141 EV charging points have been made operational at 40 locations.

India is aiming to increase the share of natural gas, which is less polluting than liquid fuels, in its energy mix from the current 6 percent to 15 percent by 2030. And city gas is one sector which the government is giving priority to.

ATGL has won the FICCI (FICCI) Road Safety Award, 2022 in the category of ‘Outstanding Commitment in Road Safety by Corporates’ at a conference organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi.
