Hinduja Group Chairman Gopichand Hinduja Passes Away At 85 In London

Gopichand Parmanand Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group and one of the world’s leading industrialists, passed away in London at the age of 85.

UK Member of Parliament Rami Ranger announced his demise and expressed deep sorrow, describing Gopichand Hinduja as ‘humble, kind, and loyal’.

In a heartfelt message, Ranger stated, “Dear friends, I am deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved friend Gopichand Hinduja has passed away. His passing marks the end of an era.”

Following the announcement, tributes began pouring in from political leaders, industrialists, and community figures from across the world.

Many remembered Gopichand Hinduja for his business acumen, philanthropy, and efforts to strengthen ties between India and the United Kingdom.

Social media platforms were filled with messages of condolence, reflecting the immense respect he commanded globally.

Several Indian and British leaders highlighted his contribution to the growth of the Hinduja Group and his role in promoting economic cooperation between the two nations.

The Legacy of the Hinduja Group

Gopichand Hinduja was part of the illustrious Hinduja family, which built one of the world’s largest diversified business conglomerates.

The Hinduja Group, with interests in banking, energy, automotive, healthcare, and real estate, has operations across more than 30 countries.

After the passing of his elder brother, Srichand Parmanand Hinduja, in 2023, Gopichand assumed the role of Group Chairman.

Furthermore, under his leadership, the Group continued its focus on innovation, expansion, and sustainable growth, maintaining its reputation as one of India’s most influential business dynasties.

The Hinduja brothers — Srichand, Gopichand, Prakash, and Ashok — became renowned for their contribution to global trade and industry, carrying forward a business legacy that began over a century ago.

Gopichand Hinduja’s passing marks the end of a defining chapter in the Hinduja family’s history.

Known for his humility and vision, he played a crucial role in positioning the Group as a symbol of Indian enterprise on the global stage.

While the family has yet to reveal the cause of death, sources close to them have confirmed that he was undergoing treatment at a London hospital.

As tributes pour in, people remember Gopichand Hinduja as both an industrial titan and a humanitarian whose values and work inspired generations.

Moreover, His demise leaves a profound void in the global business community and among millions who admired his leadership and generosity.
