‘Har Gend Pe Josh’: Gautam Adani Pens Poetic Tribute To Women In Blue

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani lauded India’s sensational victory in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, describing it as a triumph that embodies ‘the spirit, grace, and dreams of millions of girls across the nation’.

His heartfelt tribute came shortly after Team India defeated South Africa by 52 runs at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, clinching their maiden World Cup title.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Adani wrote, “Congratulations to Team India!! What a victory for Bharat and her daughters! This is not just a victory in cricket. It is a victory of spirit, of grace, of every girl who ever dared to dream.”

The post resonated deeply with millions of fans, capturing the pride and emotion of a nation that has long awaited this historic moment.

A Poetic Tribute to the Women in Blue

Gautam Adani further expressed his admiration through a patriotic verse that celebrated the team’s fearless energy and determination.

He wrote, “Har gend pe josh, har shot mei jaan, yeh hai humari Team India! (Passion in every ball, pride in every shot — this is our Team India, the identity of our nation!) Proud of Team India — fierce, fearless, and forever Bharat.”

The message quickly went viral, symbolising how India’s victory extended beyond sport — inspiring young women to pursue their dreams with courage and conviction.

A Landmark Victory in Women’s Cricket

The 52-run win marked the end of India’s decades-long wait for a Women’s World Cup title after heartbreaking runner-up finishes in 2005 and 2017.

Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Women in Blue delivered a clinical performance powered by Shafali Verma’s 87 runs and two wickets, and Deepti Sharma’s all-round brilliance of 58 runs and five wickets.

It was an emotional moment as Harmanpreet, making her fifth World Cup appearance, lifted the trophy before an electrified home crowd of nearly 40,000 fans.

Moreover, the atmosphere at the DY Patil Stadium was electric as former Indian cricketing greats joined the current squad in celebration.

Fireworks lit up the Mumbai skyline, marking a new chapter in India’s sporting history.

Furthermore, Adani’s message echoed the sentiments of a proud nation — one that views this victory not just as a sporting achievement but as a celebration of empowerment, resilience, and equality.

As Adani aptly noted, this victory will forever stand as ‘a tribute to every girl who dared to dream — and made India dream bigger’.
