Gold futures fall on low demand: New Delhi, Mar 21 Gold prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 46 to Rs 59,460 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs 46 or 0.08 per cent to Rs 59,460 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 8,489 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to the trimming of positions by participants.
Globally, gold was trading 0.28 per cent lower at USD 1,994.20 per ounce in New York.
New Delhi, Mar 21 Silver futures on Tuesday fell by Rs 198 to Rs 68,640 per kilogramme as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery declined by Rs 198 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 68,640 per kg in a business turnover of 12,995 lots.
Globally, silver was trading 0.45 per cent down at USD 22.55 per ounce in New York.
