Empowering Educators Is The True Tribute, Says Priti Adani On Guru Purnima

Marking the occasion of Guru Purnima on Thursday, Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, highlighted the importance of empowering teachers as the most meaningful way to honour them.

Taking to X, she posted, “A beautiful way to honour teachers is to empower them.”

She also shared that Adani School teachers are currently undergoing training to become master trainers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in collaboration with the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore.

Our STEM Leadership Training in partnership with National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, is grooming teachers from @Adani_Schools to become STEM master trainers in the Indian context. So happy to see our educators immersing themselves in Singapore’s STEM ecosystem, exploring NIE’s cutting-edge learning spaces and gaining hands-on insights.,” the post further added.

Guru Purnima, celebrated on the full moon day of Ashadha, is a day of gratitude towards spiritual and academic mentors.

This year, followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism are observing it on 10 July.

The day also commemorates the birth anniversary of sage Veda Vyasa, revered as the author of the Mahabharata and compiler of the Vedas.

Spiritual observances, Guru puja, and community gatherings are being held across the country to mark the occasion, which celebrates the role of teachers in dispelling ignorance and guiding individuals toward knowledge and enlightenment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes on social media earlier in the day, stating, “Best wishes to everyone on the special occasion of Guru Purnima.”
