Ratan Kumar Kesh
Ratan Kumar Kesh has been appointed as the executive director of private lender Bandhan Bank, the company stated on Wednesday.
The bank stated in a statement that the RBI approved Kesh as ED based on the board’s proposal.
Subject to bank shareholders’ approval, the appointment will take effect on March 31, 2023, and last for three years.
Ratan Kumar Kesh has more than 28 years of experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, banking and finance, and services.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the NIT in Durgapur, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the NMIMS in Mumbai, and he has also successfully completed courses in business leadership and strategic agility leadership at the IIM Ahmedabad and Harvard Business Schools, respectively.
Kesh has a history of managing intricate operations, such as transformation, automation, customer experience, and quality improvement. He has held executive positions in a number of reputable Indian banking institutions, including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, and Axis Bank.
He played a key role in advancing operational change at Axis Bank, inventing and expanding the Artificial Intelligence COE, and overseeing end-to-end retail operations. In addition, he received recognition from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Government of India, and BIOCON Network as one of the top 25 Emerging Tech Leaders in India.
